Shut-In Shoutarou Kominami Takes on the World Volume 2 Review
Nardio Manga Review
IS Shut-In Shoutarou Kominami Takes on the World Volume 2 WORTH YOUR TIME?
WHAT DID I THINK WITHOUT SPOILING IT?
Shut-In Shoutarou Kominami Takes on the World Volume 2 builds upon the first volume to make an even better/funnier gag manga experience.
WE LOVED IT.
First off go buy and read volume one of this story before you start this review. Shut-In Shoutarou Kominami Takes on the World Volume Two is just perfection. Building upon the first, this shy little “Shlocken” world grows and yet stays the same. The art is still hilarious and the writing only gets better as everyone has more time to shine and new characters are brought in. The second we finished this manga we bought the next and final volume of this magnificent series. If you loved Shut-In Shoutarou Kominami Takes on the World Volume One then Volume Two and trust me, Three is a no brainer.
The plot continues to follow our lovable “Shlocken” as he ventures out into the world to cure himself of his condition. Even more crazy tasks are given to him by his “psychiatrist/gag manga sensei. I continue to love how every side character introduced in the manga has more character building moments. At first they are great with our “Shlocken”, but they get even more interesting when they play off each other. This is hard to give a spoiler free review of because it’s a gag manga. A lot of the build up is just as important as the gag. Trust me, you will laugh out loud with this manga. Best of all you will really, really find yourself invested and addicted to this manga. The minute we finished volume one we bought volume 2. The minute we finished buying this volume we bought volume 3. No regrets.
There is nothing bad to say about Shut-In Shoutarou Kominami Takes on the World Volume Two at all. This should be a world famous gag manga every one should know about. Thank you very, very much Yen Press for bringing this gem to America and my iPad.
