The Nardio Review
IS Santas Big Adventures WORTH YOUR TIME?
WHAT SHOULD I PLAY IT ON?
PC only right now.
HOW IT PLAYS AND WHY IT FAILS:
Santas Big Adventures is a job platformer rushed onto Steam for some quick holiday sales. It’s cheap, but not worth it.
Well, it cost.79 cents and it honestly looked pretty lame on the Steam store. I didn’t go into this game with any sorta hopes besides hoping it played alright. Honestly, I just wanted something Chrstmassy to review for today that seemed quick and Santas Big Adventures fit the bill. Santas Big Adventures is a 2D side scrolling platformer that has you collecting all of the presents in each level before you are allowed to leave. Sadly lazy game design makes this a forgettable waste of time.
Santas Big Adventures is a platforming game aimed at kids and casual players. I think it aims for that demographic hoping it’s lazy level design, lazy music and lazy everything else can go unnoticed or forgiven.
This is just a bad game. I’m 17 levels of 21 in and I give up. Santas Big Adventures could have been decent if the developer cared. It doesn’t seem that they do unfortunately. The music is horrible and annoying. The character movement feels wrong and frustrating. The levels are boring at best and frustrating at worst. There really isn’t anything good that can be said of Santas Big Adventures. Sure it cost me only 79 cents, but this wasn’t even worth that.
