Nardio Manga Review
IS DEAD MOUNT DEATH PLAY #7-10 WORTH YOUR TIME?
WHAT DID WE THINK WITHOUT SPOILING IT?
Dead Mount Death Play #7 is a lame followup to the last weak chapter, which was a weak follow up to the weak chapter before it… The following three chapters get better, but it’s not enough.
It was dumb and I’m done.
The characters are shallow, the story is directionless, the lack of death in a manga this violent has actually reached Bleach and Tokyo Ghoul Re levels of absurdity and we are only in chapter 10.
Dead Mount Death Play still doesn’t seem to know what kind of manga it wants to be. It had several different tones going for it but now we landed at a shonen outcast manga where the bad guys, are obviously bad, but are being poorly written as the good guys. It’s just shit writing, unfortunately, the writing is backed up by boring art. I was losing all hope at chapter 7 and wrote a really, really salty review and decided to give the final three chapters I had a chance. It got slightly more interesting, but not enough to justify spending any more money and more importantly time on the series.
I just don’t care anymore. I don’t have hope for this series anymore. This series had so much promise but it ultimately wasted it. This manga desperately needed direction. I blame the editor as much as the writer.
Avoid this mess.
