Man, Epic is going HARD in the war for the PC market. They’re enticing developers with a better cut of profits. So much so that Metro Exodus left Steam to release their game first on Epic. Obviously, that didn’t sit well with gamers.

Epic’s foray into the PC game distribution market shouldn’t really have come as surprise. They have their own Epic launcher that game developers download along with the Unreal engine. And with the popularity of Fortnite, they had a solid base. Now with this recent news of Slime Rancher being offered for free on the Epic Store, it should bring in even more people.

I, for one, think the more competition there is in the PC market the better. Hopefully that will mean more competitive deals with developers and more options for gamers. And who doesn’t like more options?

If you haven’t yet played Slime Rancher, now’s your chance! It’s a very cute and fun open-world game where you, well, ranch some slimes. You can check out our Early Access review of the game here, but there’s been quite a bit of updates since we last played. We really loved it and think you will too! Check out the trailer below and then go get the game!
