What should I play it on?
Calculator Quest is an iPhone/touch device app for iOS 4.3 or later. It can still be used/played on the iPad if you want. I use this as my main calculator on my iPhone.
What did you think without spoiling it?
Calculator Quest is a calculator app and game. As a calculator it performs all of the functions of a calculator you would expect. If you are feeling a little bored you can also play the mini games . Both modes are randomized and score you after a few rounds of play.
The first mode is called Quickdraw Colosseum. Here you quickly type in the numbers appearing over a few cute pixelized monsters heads to defeat them. You do a few rooms of this then you are scored on your time.
The second mini game is called: Mental Math Kingdom. Here you have to quickly solve the equations over the monsters heads to slay them. Again, you do a few rooms of this and you are given a score.
Simple fun and fast. Skipmore games just tend to give you what you want without much fluff. Sure, they aren’t going to be very deep games, but for what they are, they are very enjoyable.
Why it works:
Sometimes you just need a calculator and other times you just want to spend a few minutes on a mini game. Calculator Quest gives you both. The animations and sound effects are retro awesome and the controls are always spot on. My favorite part is the art. I love the classic pixel art and animations. The only downside is the ads at the top and bottom of the page when you are online. Unfortunately, you can’t buy your way out of it. Thankfully they never get in the way of your calculator use or your gaming.
