I’ve had cats before who loved playing fetch with me. I’d roll up a ball of aluminum and they’d chase it around and eventually bring it back to me so I could throw it again. I have never, however, had a cat stand up on command. This lovely 5 month old (yes still a kitten) Siberian kitten plays fetch and stands. According to the owner, he taught the cat by holding out a treat so the cat stood and then would say stand up. The cat eventually realized it would get a treat if it stood on command.┬áThen he started saying it without the treat in view and Neiko, the kitten, started standing on his own. Siberians are known for their dog-like behavior and could also be great for homes with people who have cat allergies as these cats produce a lower amount of Fel d 1, the protein in their saliva that causes allergic reactions.
