The Nardio IOS app review (iPad 2, iPhone 4, iPod touch)
Is it worth your time?
YES
What should I play it on?
This cute game works great on all three devices. As with most games I prefer it on the iPad.
What did you think without spoiling it?
A cute fun game designed for small children and people who love cute simple games. It’s an endless time waster that is just really cute. All you do is keep feeding your hamsters and racking up the points
How does it play?
Perfect. It is simply about paying attention and tapping your hamsters in time.
Why it works:
It’s free! It’s also very simple and addictive. Kids will love to keep replaying it to beat their high scores. Even I have spent a few Sunday afternoons stuffing my lil hamster’s faces. It’s very relaxing. The art is simple, clean and cute.
No like?
Ads…. Ads in a language I can’t read. When you are connected to the internet there are banner ads that show over your game and even the main menu. They aren’t obtrusive thankfully. I’m normally ok with ads for a fun game that I get for free. I understand the game maker needs to pay the bills, the problem is the banner ads and the Ads that are in the Apps page aren’t in English and have no option for translation. Out of curiosity I clicked on one of the apps that was being recommended for me and I found a game that had very expensive in app purchases. This isn’t a game breaking problem, just be sure to make sure you have a conversation with your child about clicking ad banners and making in app purchases.
I really wish there was an option to buy out of the ads. For a game this enjoyable and cute I would gladly pay two dollars to not have to worry about ads anymore.
