Love boy bands? Love history? Love pop idols?
It doesn’t matter. Watch Sekko Boys!
School-Live! is one of the best anime I’ve watched to date. You really see the strong bond of friendship between all of the girls and you really empathize with them. The art is superb and the voice-acting is really on point. As you go through each episode you find yourself very attached to these girls and the club mascot
Honestly, saying anything about Puella Magi Madoka Magica is potentially spoiling it. I personally was awed at the amazing story, excellent artwork and real emotion I felt throughout the entire series. It’s only 12 episodes but man, those 12 episodes are a rollercoaster.
A popular Light Novel in Japan, Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers was adapted to an anime. Read inside to see if it is worth your time.
Sit beside Wakako, a 26 year old office lady, as she takes a food tour at the various Japanese izakayas. Is Wakako-zake worth your time? Read inside.
Enter the world of Non Non Biyori Repeat – a world with only five students and the only shop is a candy store. Is it worth your time? Read inside.
While based on the RPG, Ixion Saga DT couldn’t be more different with its wild humor, innuendo and cast of unforgettably hilarious characters.
Gugure Kokkuri-San is definitely in my top 10 comedy animes of all-time behind Monthly Girl’s Nozaki-Kun and Nichijou. This was adapted from a 4-panel (Yonkoma as the say in Japanese) manga of the same name, which strikes me as rather interesting considering the other two mentioned are also in the same format. Maybe it’s something about having a very limited space, but it seems to translate very well into gag-ish anime.
Cute High Earth Defense Club is a fun take on the magical girl genre, except this time with boys. Of course, that’s not the only twist on a genre here. There are plenty of nods to other anime tropes that they both use and lampshade.
